This paper explores the strategic aspirations of China in the Arab world and investigates the political, economic, security, and cultural factors that influence present Sino-Arab relations. The study aims to identify the importance of the Arab region in China’s global strategy, especially in light of the Belt and Road Initiative, China’s rising demand for energy resources, growing markets, and strategically important geopolitical locations. The report also discusses the nature of the alliances that have been formed between China and a number of Arab nations, and their role in consolidating Chinese influence locally and globally. The research follows the descriptive-analytical technique via the study of Chinese policies toward the Arab countries and assessing the strategic reasons for these policies, in addition to the relevance of these interactions for the international balance and the future of Sino-Arab cooperation. The study shows that China considers Arab countries as a strategic partner of the first order in securing its energy security and in expanding its economic and political influence, while Arab states see China as an international power that can affect international relations in an effort to create balance and increase investment and economic cooperation.
